Day 2 of Ben Crawling

Yesterday, Ben mustered enough motivation to crawl for only two things: to knock over a tower of blocks, and to try to "kiss" a kitty.

Today, I was added to the list!

Ben literally learned to crawl overnight. He just couldn't resist knocking over the tower of blocks!

Planting tulips and daffodils

Today, Ben and I went to Wal-Mart and bought tulip and daffodil bulbs. I planted some of them while he napped, and when he woke up, I brought him outside to help.

It was probably one of the last sunny days of the year!

Ben's New Snowsuit

Ben and I went for a walk today in our very windy, chilly weather. He got to wear his new snow suit that my mom bought him.

He loves going on walks and is happy and quiet the whole time!

1880 Train

A few weeks ago, we went on an old fashioned steam train ride through the Black Hills. Nate was VERY excited because he has wanted to go on a train ever since 2nd grade, when his class field trip to a train was cancelled.

It was a rainy, cold day, but very pretty.

Ben got to eat some applesauce on the way.

Ben was fussy most of the time (he had an ear infection) and I was sick, but it turned out to be really fun! Nate's childhood dream was finally fulfilled.
