Planting tulips and daffodils

Today, Ben and I went to Wal-Mart and bought tulip and daffodil bulbs. I planted some of them while he napped, and when he woke up, I brought him outside to help.

It was probably one of the last sunny days of the year!

Nate came home from work while we were outside.

Ben's New Snowsuit

Ben and I went for a walk today in our very windy, chilly weather. He got to wear his new snow suit that my mom bought him.

He loves going on walks and is happy and quiet the whole time!

1880 Train

A few weeks ago, we went on an old fashioned steam train ride through the Black Hills. Nate was VERY excited because he has wanted to go on a train ever since 2nd grade, when his class field trip to a train was cancelled.

It was a rainy, cold day, but very pretty.

Ben got to eat some applesauce on the way.

Ben was fussy most of the time (he had an ear infection) and I was sick, but it turned out to be really fun! Nate's childhood dream was finally fulfilled.

Pictures from the Summer

Here are a few pictures from our summer!

We went on our first hike with Ben in the Big Horns to a pretty waterfall. Ben slept most of the way in his carrier.

We got to go to Utah twice. Ben loved being with his grandparents!

He also loved being with his sweet cousins.

We spent most of our summer at home because Nate had lots of work to do for his Master's classes. Ben was a good helper.
